Graph-grammar based algorithm for asteroid tsunami simulations

On January 18, 2022, around 1 million kilometers from Earth, five times the distance Earth to Moon, a large asteroid passed without harm Earth. Theoretically, however, event of falling into causing tsunami, is possible since there are over 27,000 near-Earth asteroids [1], and Earth’s surface covered in 71 percent by water. We introduce novel graph-grammar-based framework for tsunami simulations. Our adaptively generates computational mesh model. It built triangular elements representing seashore seabed. The represented as graph, with graph vertices element’s interiors edges. Mesh refinements often performed longest-edge refinement algorithm. have expressed this algorithm only two graph-grammar productions. resulting represents terrain approximating topography prescribed accuracy. generalize work on entire model, allowing generation topography, including Having seabed we finite element method simulations wave propagation. illustrate disastrous Baltic sea.
